Hey everyone! I will be switching from my http://www.colinlindstedt.tumblr.com account to this one for many different reasons. I am still trying to figure out how it works and customisation. If you have any questions about the change let me know! Know on to the update.
I have been in England now for close to a month! It sure doesn't feel that way sometimes though. I have been able to reconnect with a lot of my very close friends from my DTS last year. I have also been making many new friends as well! (Mom always said I was good at that). It has been a huge relief to already have a solid group of people to surround myself. I never realized just how much I missed living in community, especially The Oval community, and living on a YWAM base. Being surrounded by so many people relentlessly chasing after God just forces me to do the same. Hearing all the stories from various people and what their ministry is doing is so refreshing. I feel as if we lose a huge part of the ability to minister and grow in Christ without living in community. I might come back to that point.
A lot of you are probably wondering what I have been up to this past month. Well fear not, for you shall find out soon. Monday mornings I work in the kitchen doing various things, mainly cooking and organisation. On Mondays the whole base meets in the chapel to fast and intercede/pray as a community. After that I have a work duty, because of the hectic nature of last month it is nothing concrete. After dinner I have free every night. Tuesday morning I get to work in the cafe! Woooo! In the afternoon I just sit in meetings. Yay? Wednesday morning is time for blogging/support raising and in the afternoon it is back to the kitchen! Thursday morning the DTS centre meets together for a devotional/breakfast. In the afternoon its cafe duty. Yes. Friday morning is the cafe. Again. So good! And in the afternoon its the kitchen. And sat/sun I have off! So that's my main schedule for the past month and it will stay that way until September. Come September it will stay somewhat similar with just a few differences.
In my free time I have been doing a few different things. Last night I went to the pub with a group of people to watch my roommate Nathanael and flatmate Caleb play music. We sat around and talked and had a pint. It was relaxing and great. I spend a lot of time playing volleyball since the weather is cooperating for now. Movies and games happen often enough. I think one of these weekends I will go to London or Bath or somewhere. Not sure yet. That's all I have time for now but I should be able to do more updates now that I have my computer working again and am figuring out this blogger thing. Thanks and God bless!
