Howdy Y'all!
So I have now been back from the USA for a couple of weeks. It seems like just yesterday I was flying to Minneapolis to see my friends and family. The main reason I went to the United States was to support raise. To find more people to partner with me in God's calling on my life. Whether it be through prayer, finances, or any other form of support, I need people to fulfill what God has placed before me. I thank everyone that has supported me in the past, has continued to support me, started partnering with me, or will join me in the future. I cannot do this without you. You are just as important in this mission and ministry as I am. Don't think because you aren't overseas "being a missionary", that you are not valued or integral to God's kingdom! I need you and thank you.
Since I have been back from the USA I have gotten into the old routines. I am currently working in the cafe, kitchen, IT, and betting taught/mentored along the way. The cafe is actually a big ministry on base. We have a large percentage of customers who are not on staff or from our community. We are able to serve them with a smile, and bless them. Just showing them the joy and servant hood of God's kingdom in a unique way. In the kitchen I cook for the base two times a week. Never thought I would know how to make food for 80 people from scratch (all your recipes are a BIG hit, mom!) In IT I am learning more and more about the networks and servers we have/run. I go around and try to fix peoples computers or get them online! I even get to work with printers. Hooooray (sarcasm).
I am also continuing in my love of Brazil. I still am passionately in love with this country. I want to go to Brazil right now. I feel very strongly a calling from God to be involved with Brazil. I do not know how, where, when, or what that will look like right now, but I know that Brazil will be in my future somehow. Whether being IN Brazil or involved WITH Brazil, only God knows at this point. Because of this, I am continuing to learn Portuguese. I am taking lessons from people on base, and teaching other Brazilians English while they teach my Portuguese. I even sit with all the Brazilians at meals just to hear Portuguese so I can try to learn faster. I love every minute of it. I still miss Brazil every day.
God has been teaching me a lot this past few weeks. I have finally started having regular quiet times again and prayer. I have been reading through the Bible more and am loving reading it. I am finding myself more mature and disciplined in my personal life, and being given more responsibilities. I am loving the man that God is shaping me into, and love the man that I am now. I am so happy with life, and so happy with where I am going.
Tonight we had a metal gig at our base. We hosted 4 teenage bands and a bunch of teenagers. The majority of them were non-christian and we were just there to love them. We accepted them as they came, and just tried to show God's love to them. Sure, there are quite a few times we need to intervene and stop shenanigans of some sort, but overall it is a great chance to just show some kids that people DO care and love them. It was so cool to see more and more coming every month, and being able to just be a light in there world.
As we move into the holiday season, I have a few prayer requests. First, prayer for my future and Brazil. What does that look like. Where will I be. When will it happen. Wisdom and discernment to hear God clearly, and prayer that I can follow his call for me. Also prayer for finances, being December, it is a hard time of the year financially for everyone. And lastly, prayer for my personal struggles and challenges that I wish to overcome with God in this next time.
Thank you so much, and I miss you. Whoever is reading this, God loves you and so do I.
Amo vocês. Eu sinto sua falta. Deus te abençoe.

Thanks for the update Colin! Count me in for prayer support. I could use a Christmas song from you though to add to my playlist!
